Events Coordinator (Events Management)

Leicester

Circa £21,500

Our client is a growing organisation and they are currently looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to join a state of the art theatre in Leicester.

In this role you will sell and manage events, conferences, meetings and hires held within the theatre. Developing the commercial aspects of the business, you will work proactively to maximise income by actively selling available spaces whilst controlling costs.

As the first point of contact for commercial event customers, you will build on existing relationships and networks. You will conduct site visits with customers to ascertain their precise requirements and ensure the smooth running of their event. You will manage the aftercare service by obtaining post event feedback, ensuring that customer satisfaction has been met and that any queries have been resolved.

You will also be responsible for the event administration and, as such, be required to record all enquiries and confirmed bookings. This will involve providing clients with accurate documentation (i.e. proposals, menus, contracts) and maintaining event related procedures and systems.

The successful candidate will have experience of creating and successfully managing large scale and smaller events. You will have previously co-ordinated caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire, and will have good knowledge of conference and banqueting operations. Excellent sales skills are also required as you will be responsible for selling and managing meetings and events.

Our client is looking for a highly customer focused candidate who can work confidently and effectively with a wide range of people. It is important that you are familiar with project management principles and have excellent organisational, planning and presentation skills. An enthusiasm for theatre and the arts would be beneficial and you must be willing to work unsociable hours when required.
